Our amazing friend and fundraiser for GPS, Sarah Clozza, has started a GoFundMe to help achieve a tiny house for our amazing volunteers that travel so far to help out.
My name is Sarah and I am raising money for Greener Pastures Sanctuary, which is currently home to over 160 rescued animals of many different species, including, pigs, cows, sheep, goats and many more on 100 acres in Waroona, Western Australia. All of these animals have been neglected, abandoned, mistreated, abused and rescued from slaughter, and now live their natural lives out in peace.
What many people don’t realise is that within our farming agricultural industry many animals fall through the cracks - whether it’s falling or jumping off a truck on the way to an abattoir, escaping through a fence and becoming feral in the bush, getting injured out on the land, being rejected by the mother or too young to survive the elements, confiscated through mis-treatment or perhaps just abandoned in an unused farm shed... these animals need somewhere to go.
There are only a handful of farms and very kind people in the Perth region who are in a position to do this yet they receive very little help.
A civilised society asks us to look after both vulnerable humans and animals.
I am raising money to help Rachael purchase an Express Portable cabin to turn into accommodation so volunteers can stay on the property and provide more sustained and regular help. A cabin costs $21,500. Read Mandurah Coastal Times write up by cutting and pasting the link to your browser https://shorturl.at/E0sW3
